Sports has always been one of the significant domains of Springdalian education. Our sports enthusiasts cherish the five S's of sports: stamina, speed, strength, skill, and spirit. Prioritizing the physical fitness of students, the school organized a plethora of activities, yoga sessions and a fitness run for all classes within the school campus. We hosted the Annual Athletic Meet in February to celebrate the essence of sports through the track and field events. More than 900 students attend the morning Coaching Sessions. Throughout the year, Springdalians have won laurels and accolades in various indoor and outdoor events, including basketball, football, chess, shooting, skating, athletics and many more. We organised the I.P Kapoor football tournament and were delighted when team Pusa won the match.
Our senior football team emerged first runners up amongst 32 schools from all over Delhi in a tournament at GD Goenka. Our sub junior boys , sub junior girls and senior boys bagged first, third and second positions respectively in the basketball tournament organised by the Directorate of Education. Our sub junior team also won the tournament held at St Michael's.
The table tennis champions bagged bronze, silver, and one gold medal at the district table tennis tournament.The sub junior boys and girls teams bagged third position in zonal Table Tennis competition. The junior boys, sub junior boys and senior boys secured first and second positions in lawn tennis respectively. The sub junior girls, junior team and senior team won first and second positions respectively.
Another spirited contestant made us proud by bagging gold at a table tennis tournament. Our spirited athletes bagged gold, silver and bronze medals at Manavsthali.
Our ace swimmers performed exceedingly well winning gold, silver and bronze medals in swimming championships.
The shooting stars of Springdales won laurels and accolades at various events and competitions, presenting the school at the state and national levels.
It was a joyous moment for all of us when our prodigious chess grandmasters made us proud by winning top positions at school, zonal and state levels in various categories. Their glorious achievements are on the screen.
In a remarkable display of talent, a promising springdalian won the best batsman, best fielder and man of the match award at state level cricket tournaments in separate categories. He also won best Batsman of the tournament in the Friendship cup held in Dehradun.
An aspiring badminton player won the GOLD medal in West Delhi District Championship.
We are happy to announce that our student secured the Gold Medal at the 'Equestrian and Pole Bending Championship Event' organised under the aegis of the UP Horse Show.
It gives us immense pleasure to share that our young karate player won two gold medals and one silver in various competitions organized by the Taekwondo Authority of India. Her winning streak continued at the International Traditional Taekwondo Championship Online Argentina where she bagged a bronze. Taking a leaf out of her book is another enthusiast who struck gold at the National Karate Tournament in the boys under 14 yrs KUMITE category and won bronze at Independence Cup championship.
